Answer1. Short Message Service. It is a standard feature of the GSM protocol (used by most mobile phone networks around the world), and allows messages of up to 160 characters to be sent to mobile phones.

Answer2. No. It is FREE to register and you only pay for message credits.

Answer3. 1 Message = 1 Credit. Each message sent costs the same (1 credit), to any network, regardless of destination country.

Answer6. SMS messages may be up to 160 characters long.

Answer7. Some companies add a 'tag' which advertises their company; this also eats in to the 160 character limit. We do NOT add any text to your messages.

Answer8. You can send as many messages as you like; as long as you have enough credits available. However, we suggest breaking huge batches in to blocks of 150,000 messages or less (as this helps to avoid the risk of HTTP Server timeouts).

Answer9. Yes you can. Although we focus primarily upon the US, we provide coverage to over 500 networks in more than 200 countries worldwide. Please contact info@loudsun for up-to-date routing information. We can also provide a demo account if you would like to test sending to a specific country.

Answer10. All the numbers and messages that you send are treated in the strictest confidence. We will never use them or share the information with other companies.

Answer11. Yes. You automatically receive an email when less than 50 credits remain. You can change this to a higher or lower number if you wish.

Answer13. Ideally mobile numbers should be in International format without the leading '00' or '+'. For example; 447xxxxxxxxx or 35387xxxxxxx. For US numbers, it is also possible to supply them in the 'local' format. For example; 07xxxxxxxxx. There should be no spaces or other symbols within numbers.

Answer14. You must log-in and select 'Buy Credits'. The quickest way to purchase credits is with a credit/debit card, simply follow the steps on the website. You may also pay by cheque or bank transfer. For either of these methods you must contact us and quote your username and what you wish to purchase. You will then be sent a pro-forma invoice. Once payment is received your credits will be added.

Answer15. From the main menu, select Send Message.
Highlight the Originator box and type in the Originator Number / Name. This will be your FROM Number / Name.
Select Text Msg, as the message type. Flash Msg allows you to FLASH the text message to the destination.

Highlight the Message box and use your keypad to type a message.
  • To use a pre-set message, from the drop-down options, select the Pre-set Msgs that you want to insert.
Select from one of the following:
  • From Phone Book: Navigate to select the recipient, then double the recipient
  • Mobile Phone #: Enter the phone number of the recipient in the Send To box.
Review your message, then select Send Now
A confirmation will appear in the Status Bar

Phone Book
From the main menu, select Phone Book.
Highlight the Name field and key in the Name
Highlight the Number field and key in the Mobile Number
Review the name and number and press Add Number. The selected number will be added to the Phone Book
A confirmation will appear in the Status Bar
  • To Delete an entry click on the Name that you wish to delete from the listbox and press Delete.
  • A confirmation will appear in the Status Bar that the record is deleted.
Template Messages
From the main menu, select Template Messages.
Highlight the Template field and key in the message that you wish to add as a template.
Review the Template for errors and press Add Template.
A confirmation will appear in the Status Bar
  • To Delete a Template click on the template from the list and press Delete.
  • A confirmation will appear in the Status Bar that the record is deleted.
